Remember we were talking about HiveMail and how good it was, but the only bad thing, the cost.. well I've found freeware, and it I think it is just as good, although, it does take a big of debugging(language wise) as it was created by germans I believe..

It is called b1gMail.. www.b1g.info

Download the one there on the site, and what i did was delete the deutch fiile in 'language' and then copied the 'english' and renamed it to 'deutch'.. that way the both language files are there, but they are both actually English, renamed under another name..

This helps with some of the language in the software, although there is a few things still not in english..

do this email software need connect to mysql database? is that any admin control to manage each user email account such as limit spacing etc ? thanks

Look good Gordy. Maybe a few of us could work on updating the transalation. Have you noticed any quirks while running it?

Try clearing your cache and see if its still working, check the status of the server if you can also.

Doesnt work either, www.capertech.net doesnt work here either so I would say its something to do with the server

I never saw the point of HiveMail or this thing. why would you want to setup a script like hotmail on your site?

people can get email accounts for free on a million sites already, why should they use yours as well?

I have used hivemail before.. see no point.
then again, I have my own server and thunderbird to check my emails for me... so...

You can have a lot more features on your own server, you can have a lot more space than you get on hotmail, yahoo etc.
You can remove any limits on the size of files you can send, number of attachments you can save, have an email address of you@yourdomain.com instead of i_have_registered98564@hotmail.com

You could provide email hosting to businesses, there are some email only hosts still going on the web that dont sell site hosting, just hosting for email accounts.

Quite a lot of people would rather get something like this than use hotmail or something

I have a server... I dont need to use stuff like hivemail or hotmail.

and hivemail and hotmail are the same... for your users that is.

doesnt matter if its eugene@hotmail.com or eugene@sitewithhivemail.com... I have eugene@websterworlds.com and thats fine for me.
