Thrilled to see a spammer get prosecuted, but who gets the money in this case, Earthlink?

Ah, there's the answer:
"Since 1996, EarthLink has sued more than a hundred spammers and won more than $65 million in judgments."
Nice little incentive to go after them.

If others have the kind of money to spend on lawyers to go after spammers then more power too them.

First, they will go toward covering the legal fees (court fees, lawyer fees, etc), then it will go to who the judge appointed them. As a winner, you'll be the last person to receive money, if anything of those $120,000 is left of course.
