Dotcombuilder.com

Anyone has answers to the following questions?
Will I lose any functionalities if I host their turnkey website solutions in my own hosting servers?
Should I use their hosting service in order to use Control Panel, Online Sitebuilder and etc?

Thanks a lot.

Longtech

Yes, you can host it on your own server without losing functionality.

Also, with Dotcombuilder, you don't get to download any zip files.. you are forced to install a site using their installer, which means that if you are forced into constantly renewing in order to create/install/sell additional websites once your membership is up.

Prozilla lets you download the zip files but their sites are awful, the scripts are buggy and most don't work.. Their customer support is next to none and they rarely ever update anything.

They must have changed that. You use to be able to download a zip file for each domain you were going to install a script on. I use to install Dotcombuilder scripts for a client.

Any similiar sites to dotcombuilder & prozilla

I have had good support from dotcombuilder. Anyone know of any other similiar sites. Looking for different turnkey templates. Thanks.

dotcombuilder complete internet scam

Good luck memebrs with this company they are complete scam , you can try themby purchasing from them to see how they will take you for a ride. We already notified authoreties and bank for charge back due to thier illegal activities.

What illegal activities?
If you are going to post accusations perhaps you would be more credible if you were to post some facts.

I'm curious to see if anyone here has purchased a membership there. There are quite a few scripts that you could use there if you have domains that apply to those types of sites. I emailed them once some time ago but never got a reply so I never went ahead w/ the membership. If the scripts are halfway decent, it's not a bad price to pay at all for what you get.

So if anyone has experience w/ this site, please do let me know. Thanks!

If you have emailed them and had no reply i would just simply not sign up with them. I believe there is no good business with no good customer support, if they don't give a reply when you want to pay them imagine if you want to get money back...

there good sites where you can download many freeware with no need payed membership. One I usually look at from where i have downloaded many good scripts is http://sourceforge.net/

Considering that EvilHaider originally posted this over two and a half years ago I'm guessing what ever service issues Dotcombuilder was having have been worked out.

Is anyone happy with dotcombuilder?

I can't get any of the sites to work, the scripts have bugs and tech support does not reply.
The auto installer is complete crap. I could install the scripts myself if they would offer a download of the sites instead of making you use their worthless auto installer. I tried to install 5 sites and none of them work. I'm debating doing a chargeback on my credit card, I can't see paying for scripts that don't work.

From an insider

OPk, Allow me to clearify some things that I have seen in regards to dotcombuilder.com. I will also go over some thigns with prozilla.

My name is David. I worked for Dotcombuilder.com off and on over time for several years as a sales rep. customer service, and as a Free Lance Designer / Coder.

The truth is that Rebecca( One of two original Owners the other being her Husband) Is one of the greats people I have rand into in regards to online businesses. Their head Support (Tom) is a great guy also a military man WHo should be by ow retired. These people collectively are the most stand up, customer orientated, people that you could do business with (in regards to this industry). Yes, Most of their scripts are GNU Open source or derived from GNU but the script are modified and updated as the technology is updated. They don't really have full time coders on staff and subcontract most of their stuff to regular Freelancers. But they will go above and beyond to do what ever needs to be done for customer satisfaction. Their priority is Customer support it is the main priority. They strive to provide a quality in the product that they provide.

I started as a customer and eventually submitted bug fixes and custom scripts myself that landed me a job there. Rebecca, even though I was usually paid via Paypal, event Went out of her way to send me a wire with an advance in pay of 4 weeks during the hurricane season and I was not even able to get online. These are good people who are out to provide a solid product line.

I Think that these scripts are a great start point for the most part even though they are fully functional as is. They also work as a great tool for people just getting into coding or a time saver for people with a influx of work without staff. But it is up to the individual and where their motivation is. As a customer I made 5 times the money I paid for the membership each year because of how I took the business. I took it serious and I put real work into the sites getting them populated getting affiliates / products. In other works I just didn't' install the site and sell it. I took it as a real job. And it paid off big time, I made in 4 months 50,000.00. So quickly in fact It freaked me out and I got a lawyer and Accountant to help me sort out how to pay the G man and it kinda forced me to slow down a little. That did not last forever though because the market did get saturated with garbage. But if you do take it serious and treat it as a real job and put real effort into it You can make a good profit.

Speaking Of Garbage , Prozilla , they are pretty much the polar opposite of Dotcombuilder.com In fact Prozilla was actually an employee of Dotcombuilder.com who started Prozilla with a bunch of stolen Scripts from dotcombuilder.com. And for some period of time Prozilla was even shut down because of a lawsuit that DCB had against them.

The license agreement: All websites that you have already put up are your and you are able to resell or do whatever you want with them as long as you want, you just cannot duplicated the script and website together. If you sell the script it must be as a complete website, has to be hosted with it's own domain name.

Bottom line: It is only worth the money if you put it to good use, if you are looking for a way to make quick case or if you are lazy not wanting to put the work in then don't do it. Like I said These sites are a great Starting point, The more work you put in yourself the more profit you make.

The owners and Tom Great , Trustworthy people, who are all about you as the customer.

There are some issues form time to time like any company with a customer base that they have.

BTW, Even though they do have the online installation tool, they will provide you with the zip files on request.

I hope that this was helpful.

Dotcombuilder is a scam

"The owners and Tom Great , Trustworthy people, who are all about you as the customer."

I beg to differ. I was an affiliate of this company for many years and have yet to get any email replies or correspondents in reference to the numerous emails I have sent. I am owed over $800 from dotcombuilder for affiliate referrals SINCE 2005 and they have not answered one email or request for payment. Below is the proof of all commissions owed:

Hi,

Yes we did for one of my client and its working fine see www.keralajoli.com i did it with this software only dont know site is working or not its for a client long back

It is a good company they support the client to maximum possible ways i recommend it

dotcombuilder needs to be shut down for false advertising!

24/7 tech support--COME ON!:uhh:

I had signed up for dotcombuilder membership 01/02/09 and have had nothing but aggravation with these guys.Their turnkey sites don't
work and customer service is pretty much non-existant. I have sent many support tickets and emailed them costantly and they never get back--when they do it's pretty much useless.

I don't believe they have there customers best interest in mind at all or they would at least appologize and try to make good.

Oh, and get this, their phone number for sales and support is invalid and leads to a Veterins Administration in Connecticut--What does that tell you.

Onpoint :help:if your still out there and you really are an insider how about contacting DCB on everyones behalf and let them know how pissed we all are at them.
