Do you purchase ads?

Adwords is pretty expensive for web hosting keywords, but is also better than FB. We tried both, and we are still keeping Adwords.
We are also planning to get ads from webhosting forums and such.

True its getting expensive but that's why I added you need to look after your keywords with a lot of jealousy

It would actually be more useful for the discussion if you explain how you use PPC for branding purposes in more detail.

Probably Its cool to be seen to be advertising thus use PPC to be seen as a serious brand not actually because you are getting direct business from PPC. thats my understanding of what he said.

We've purchased ads a number of times. One of the best places to advertise are up and coming websites related to the hosting industry. Their prices are usually relatively cheap - 1/4 of that larger sites would charge, and their memberships are generally descent.

If the customer doesn't stay with us for more than a month, we either barely break even or even lose money. We've spent a lot finding the right advertising strategy, but in this industry the most cost and conversion-effective is word-of-mouth.
