DDoS Protection

In web hosting, ensuring that your servers and websites are protected from DDoS attacks is critically important as attacks by cybercriminals continues to increase in both scope and volume. An alarming number of web hosting providers still lack adequate DDoS protection services, so it’s incumbent to ask what protection they do provide.

If you’ve purchased DDoS protection from your web hosting provider, do you know what levels of network, application or protocol layers that it protects you from? When they filter attacks, will they allow legitimate traffic to pass through unhindered? Will those services encapsulate DNS, UDP/TCP, SMTP, FTP, SSH and VoIP protections?

What questions would you ask?

I think a very effective DDoS protection comes from using OVH CDN. £8.99 a month, and comes with 1TB of bandwidth. 450Gbps of DDoS absorption.

And your server can carry on as usual.

For DDoS Protection pricing depend on what kind of Protection are you looking for?
suppose if you want L3/L4 Protection then pricing different and For L7 Also Different...?Main thing is bandwidth Filtering more BW Filtering charges more cost..as well as How much Gbits Protection are you going to take its also effect..

Thanks!

Every Network has a limit to DDOs protection Cloud or non cloud . Ex if Bandwidth is 100Gb and DDos is of 101 GB the network will get congested and get down

This is the cool thing about OVH, they have 17Tbps on network capacity, and mitigation is performed before it hits your machine.

DDoS attacks involve multiple compromised computers attacking a target and causing the targeted resource to be unavailable to users. Whether it is a server, a website or another network resource, the target can be any one of these. As a result of a flood of incoming messages, connections requests or malformed packets, the target system is forced to slow down or even crash and shut down, denying legitimate users and systems service.

Every network has a cap on the amount of DDO protection, cloud or not. Ex: If DDos is 101 GB and bandwidth is 100 GB, the network will become overloaded and crash.

Path.NET is the best DDoS protection for large enterprise honestly, look for a provider who offers path and then you won't need to look for anything additional
