It's amazing if it is true. I have been researching the affiliate software market a few months ago, but could not locate software like that. Could you please point me to the application that does that please?

Actually it's not in my mind now but certainly i'll get the application name as soon as possible .. But you can see that cleary in that one Google use in its ad system , I know that insanity to compare ourself with Google but i mean that the application is real .

By the way .. you can see the IP number in your affiliate administration CP in addition to your administration vBulletin board.

I suppose if you stipulated in the "competition" rules that the registrations would only count if the registered user made 5 (or more) posts (over a period of 30 days) which positively contributed to the conversation here, then they would count.

You could integrate into vB a system which allows members to create an "affiliate" link (like "http://equinox.signmeup.hostingdiscussion.com/") and puts that in the "Referrer" block in the registration form.

After a given period, a SQL statement could pick out all of the referees who have "contributed" and then...ooohh...I love sounding like a programmer ;P

Anyway, you get the idea...could work...

Exactly .. The ways to develop this idea are many .. and I think it will be effective one .

Well you are right .. But actually HD have a considerable numbers of Clients .. If not I suggest to begin a new affiliates programme .. I think paying monthly for every 100 sign up will be active .. and other traditional ways to advertise just as banner exchange,publishing tools,..,etc .

2- featured hosting links .
3- specification parts sponsored by HD staff to trade with hosting company clients, Pay or Refer to us to get this advantage .
4- offering a hosting Demonstration in HD HelpDesk .
5- NewsLetter Subscription,reward persons who will subscrip to our NesLetter .

I know ..That recommendations make no direct sense.. but I try to find some thing new ..I actually know that Toll free isn't necessary for hosting forum but to think over (deeply) when HD have a free technical staff via toll free undoubtedly it will attract more and more registrant especially those who have no great experience ..

Anyway I suggested to use the E-mail matketing solutions and get subscribers what mean using newsletter marketing ..

Everyone know that ways like advertising in other related sites,directories, ... , etc we want to do this beside other ideas .. In any case we are here to figure out what we have to do about that .. Everyone have his own opinion ..
