Credit Card processors

Well like the other user said 2checkout fraud checking can be very slow, it once took them 72 hours and it can lose clients because of slow setup times. I am also hating the 300usd fill up before they send the money which can take a while if most payments are paypal. Another international merchant that is like 2checkout but looks a lot more suitable is forcetronix however there doesnt seem to be modernbill integration.

There is no $300USD fill up. I'd love for you to show and prove that information as it is falsely stated.

Their is what is called a release level, the minimum that can be set is 300usd, it can be higher if the customer wants it. Also on the first release they ring up the customers who did the transactions and this causes an additional delay on the first release of cash, your information is false not mine. I am not proving anything I just advise people to do their own research rather then believing hype.

Really so that's why I've been getting my money released on a bi-weekly basis for the customers who insisted on 2Checkout....even though it is under 300USD?

I have been looking into take credit card as forms of payment. At the moment I use paypal so people can still pay with credit card buy have to have a paypal account. I was wondering what is a good approach to accepting credit cards. I there a script or program that I can use or should I use a credit card processing company?

Hello Smokey,

Paypal is better then 2Checkout. 2checkout takes days to approve/decline a payment. Also, if your customer don't have a paypal account, he/she still can use paypal using his/her CC. Your local customers can pay you by checks.

Merchant Gateways are expensive. Choose them if you have customers in 3 digits (100 or more) and most of them wants to pay by Credit card.

So decide according to volume of transactions and your comfortability.

Thank you.

It applies to wire transfers only, their is release levels for other payment methods but they are much lower amount.

Ok then you should make it clear that you are using the wired transfer option. Hosts should have bank accounts for direct deposits (unless you are outside of the U.S.) otherwise I don't see a way that they are running a legal business without reporting your taxes. Your original post made it sound as though ALL 2checkout accounts require a 300 minimum.

The minimum release level for a wire transfer, either in currency or USD, is $300 USD.

The minimum release level for a check payment is $100 USD.

The set minimum that will be paid out via ACH is $10 USD.

I dont see what its to do with taxes what payment method is used but yes in our own case we are outside the us and use wire transfer.

What does ACH stand for?

Authorize.NET works excellent for CC processing - although you have to watch out for their maximum transaction size limit, that's had us waiting for well over a week for funds in the past. :)

Can anyone suggest a merchant account / gateway which is accessible world-wide? We tried with PayPal, but they dont allow purchases from within Africa. Any other suggestions?
