Creating a web template vs free template

I found a free one and modified it for my business. I've done this a few times and am starting to offer this as a service.

I agree with the sentiments of the majority here, a unique design is important as you do not want clients or users saying, "Hey, I saw this template on blank.com". In my opinion, that does not seem very professional.

PHP CMS
1 - Joomla
2 - Drupal
3 - Wordpress

You will able to setup your website in short amount of time with all the templates and theme included in the CMS.

My recommendation would be only one - Wordpress.
IT easier to hire a very good designer who draw a website design, then you take a .psd file and use one of hundreds services which offer psd to wordpress or similar things.
In thisway you have good cms, good start for seo thing and possibility to use thousands of plugins with you marketing and other things...

I personalize my own template for my website with the help of Macromedia Dreamweaver and I also use Adobe Photoshop for the header and navigation bars to add a little decoration for the personalized template. I prefer to do it alone through self study of web design from the scratch and did a trial-and-error method to save some bucks.
