I've seen this mentioned a few times. While cPanel is good, I'm pretty certain Plesk and vDesk lead the industry due to heavy use by the various megahosts. I remember cPanel in the 1990s -- it was horrible, almost unusable. It's come a long way since then. Many small and medium hosts use it.
Enkompass is horrible, like cPanel in the 1990s. It's at least 6 years behind Plesk -- and that might be a little generous, because Plesk 7 was pretty good back in 2005 -- arguably MUCH better in v9; no opinion on v10 yet. I would suggest Enkompass isn't even a beta-level product, more like a weak alpha dev. I do wish cPanel well, however. Keep at it.
