control panel for windows 2003 server

Hello,

I've asked for recomendations for cotrol panel for win 2003 server and got: plesk & sphere, both look good BUT they both require EMPTY server,my server already hosting 30 sites...
Do you know a control panel that wont need an empty server? or you have a creative solution?

Nearly all of the control panels will require you to have an "empty" server. I can't speak for Plesk, H-sphere or any of the other software since we don't use them.

Seems like this would be a good opportunity for the control panel software developers to come up with a tool that will import the existing IIS sites. Maybe someone has come up with this already so I would recommend that you contact the vendors directly and ask them this question.

I just chose Helm. Hope its a right one, they dont require empty server.

helm is a good panel some what of a pain to setup but once it's setup it's good

It would be nice if you confirm with service provider before installing any control panel on your server but I would recommend you a full backup of your server and site content before taking any action. You may loose some settings like manually set permissions, enabled variables, upon installing new control panel which you have to configure again upon successful installation of new CP.

I totally agree with this.

Plesk (www.swsoft.com) or Helm (https://www.webhostautomation.com/).

Both are good imo, Plesk especially as you can use it on both Linux and Windows server and keep things fairly consistent across the board. Helm is still a nice product and you should do fine with it, I just hope it won't be another few years before Helm v5 is out

Im having trouble with the helm's support, quite slow, or they gave up on me(I admit that my IT knowledge is basic, I come from programming...)

Hello,

Plesk, directadmin, Hostingcontroller, Helm, Hsphere are the panels that are used widely as far as windows are concerned.

But to add the domains in the control panel you need to add them through the control panel and change the respective paths to the old one.
