Can money still be made on the net?

Do you think there is still a good market to make money on the net?
I think most existing companies have expanded so much that a lot of markets are already dominated so its hard for anyone new to get in there.

Everyone knows that advertising on sites brings in very very little now, webmasters cant earn a living with their sites like they used to.

Hosting doesnt really much a lot of money if your starting out either, its a long road for most people for the profits to start, especially with trying to compete with the large hosts offering hosting for near to nothing.

What other areas can money be made through the net?
What do you think about the ones listed?
I dont think theres much to be made on the net anymore but that doesnt really matter to me, im still going to love it just as much :D
 
I think its still an untapped market. theres a massive population out there and only a small number of them have a web presence. Even a smaller number is actually doing commerce on the net.

The problem the hosting industry is facing (IMHO) is that everyone is targetting the same customers and price warring themselves to death.

Just my thoughts .......
 
I think the internet is a wonderful way of making $$$ fast and easy especially for small kids since they dont portray themselves as young kids and they often use trickery to get $$$.

This may be true, but not necessarily isolated to "small kids"

I still think the internet is a growing market and hasnt begun to reach its capacity.

Im in my 30's and have been using the internet as a revenue source for 5 or 6 years. Though it has become more challenging. People in for a quick buck, regardless of age, are in for a bit of a surprise. An internet business has become more like a traditional business, where you have to earn your customers and grow your business slowly and diligently.
