Best HTML Editor?

I've only had experience with two editors; Dreamweaver and Notepad.

Notepad is great for small quick jobs while Dreamweaver is the best in the market if you ask me for any task.

I've only used Alleycode and have not had a problem. It's worth a look and it's free. What I do is fairly basic and it works great.

I've been using Alleycode because it's very easy to use as long as you know html and it's free. I started with it thinking I would step to a higher end software but never found the need. I haven't heard of a problem with Windows 7 but I'd ask them or just try it since it's free

Well, to be honest, I used to use the HTML editor in cPanel (given that you already have cPanel). It's built into the file manager.

However, if it's ASP, I would have to go with Dreamweaver CS5 (hands-down) it may be a bit expensive but in the longrun, it's great.

Best regards,
David Vazquez

Notepad is the way to go for me, unless you want a visual editor then Kompozer is your best bet. Free and much better than Dreamweaver.

Notepad++ or Dreamweaver, I prefer Dreamweaver though. I love that program, quite easy to understand, isn't that complicated.

I like Alleycode because it is simple and free. What I do is not too complex so nothing more is needed. Alleycode has great for all my editing needs.
