Bad Reseller?

Yeah I have had one...
I cant remember their name though, something similar to internet4u...
Im not too sure though.

Had quite a few problems with them including my account not working, server going down for a number of days and getting billed more than i was meant to.

I ended up just closing my reseller account.
Was using it to put on a number of my own sites because i have too many so just decided that getting a reseller account that that stage was better :)
 
I have never used a reseller account. I dont like the idea of someone else running the server for me....

I started off with a few VDS accounts... then just started picking up some servers.
 
Yes unfortinatley they are still around, still causing $h1t.. I do not like how they do business at all, a few of their clients have relayed me the story he told them about why I cancelled and such, not reflecting good upon myself or my company. Luckily it seems I have straightened then out.

Yep, things arent going there way at the minute :)
I wouldnt use them after everything I have heard about them,very bad reports from customers which would put a lot of people off them
 
A lot of big companies make very bad moves, CI Host have made a few and I think it has totally ruined any reputation they ever had.
A datacentre should know what they are doing and should have employees that know what they are doing.
Everything thats happened is just going to ruin them I think...Im guessing a lot of people will be losing jobs with them
 
I know for a fact that a lot of BiG cats screw up and some of them can afford to cover them up and some cant. I would think that something as BiG as CI Host would have knowledgeable staff :rolleyes:
 
Oh Gosh, I wonder how CIHost is so popular. There are hundreds if not hundreds of discussion threads on them especially on WHT. No matter what but I am always impressed by their PR department, who never fails to surprise me and still they are one of the largest hosting companies around.

I remember they were giving away a space trip to one or two of their lucky clients on new sign up. Did they publish who won that trip?

Once we had a reseller who was having an account with us ($40/mth) and around 24 or 30 GB bandwidth limit. They had an account with unlimited bandwidth and pay one fix cost for ever. Needless to say they were out of the business in 3 to 4 months and we received the charge backs too.

I wish if there was any way to :gun: charge backs.
 
I have 6 customers that will testify that they experienced hours of server outage and downtime while being with hostgator.com. They moved over to us and told us the stories. One guy said his sites were down for 6-8 hours at a time, like sometimes 5 times a month :(

I heard they just have way to many hosting accounts per server.

Making the money but not putting it back into their servers.
 
I can say stay away from joeusa.com

started my phpbb board off there as it was cheap and seemed fine for my needs.
as soon as i started getting 2-3 members online at a time he claimed my site was just an image hosting service and gave me 48 hrs to get off.
well he gave me 4 hrs then changed my passwords.
glad im fast at backing up:)
