Automatic Customer KYC

Hello,
I am currently looking for automatic customer KYC solution for my web hosting business. This is mainly due to fraud concerns, recently many instances happened where customers purchased hosting from us, but created chargeback by telling its fraudulent, but it's not.

So, I need to hire a professional agency to collect KYC documents (Government ID, Address, Bank Statements etc) to verify legitimate customers. I know some big datacenters are doing this verification by using some well-known agencies. But those agencies charge 2000$ upfront as recharge topup.

I am looking for a more affordable and beginner friendly solution. If anyone have suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

Interesting. Did you get pricing of how much these agencies charge per KYC verification?

Unfortunately I don't have anything to input to help you, all web hosts or DC's I've dealt with in the past have all seemed to be in-house.

Hello

Regarding agencies, I am unsure, but I have encountered a method where you can request clients' passport details and even a photograph of their card, ensuring the last four digits are visible. This approach can help prevent fraud, as it makes it difficult for users to replicate. Additionally, in the event of a legal dispute, having passport and card details could serve as evidence that the user willingly made the payment. After all, how else would you have obtained this information without the client’s consent?

Also try services like Onfido, Jumio, or Veriff

Hello.

Talking about CC you should consider fraud protection from your processor.
They usually provide:
- Postal code check for CC
- Block special countries/IP combinations (usually Asia IP/US CC)
- Use insurance (you pay little % but it is not refundable for you).
Check other instruments either.

KYC is not what you need actually. It won't help you to avoid fraud requests to processor. Nobody will consider it. Your customer can accomplish KYC and use sisters CC after....
Any way I used to communicate to KYC processor with 1k$ conditions.
