Alternatives to Paypal

Google Checkout seems to be growing in popularity recently, although I have never tried it before or anything. Apparently the payment fees are said to be roughly the same as Paypal's would be, so i'm not sure what if any advantages Google Checkout would offer.

Might want to check out moneybookers? I know they allow overseas payments, some countries are in the no-go lsit for PayPal.

I use 2checkout and i am very happy using it.

Agree, this is a well known brand and they work very well.
have you thought of implementing like several merchant account for your biz?
I would go with 2co and moneybookers, maybe Google Checkout (but GC is not quite comfortable in terms of E-commerce tracking).

I would leave 2co by their self's. Their fees are really high and their terms are horrible. I would go with Google-Checkout.

We use Authorize.net as an alternative to PayPal. Some customers may feel better paying directly with a credit card, and still others may walk away from a business that only offers PayPal. We're very happy with the service thus far, and it interfaces well with our ordering software.

Google checkout has some site requirements though, as in a SSL. Others I've investigated are Alertpay, Authorize.net, 2Checkout.

How about paying directly through the credit card? What are the advantages of using a payment processor compare to paying a fee from a payment processor? I think we can save more if we pay directly using the credit card or the debit card.

MoneyBookers has been around for quite some time now, although I have no idea what their service fees are like. At the very least though, I am probably going to start accepting payments through Google Checkout within the near future, but I am researching some other services as well.

I like MoneyBookers and use it for my HoStInG bisiness.

I am just curious here, but what are the fees for MoneyBookers like compared to say Paypal or Google Checkout etc.?

I know that MoneyBookers has long been one of the most popular payment methods, but I have no clue how bad the fees are.

I quite like Nochex, don't think anyone has mentioned them here (although it's best to go for the merchant account, I think there's a setup fee).

Most customers tend to use Paypal, maybe it's just what they're used to so I think it's still best to keep Paypal as an option.
