Which AI tool has actually saved you the most time as a sysadmin or developer?
Why Grammarly? I have that too, but I hate it.I use the big 3 - ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. From coding to logging they each play a role.
Oftentimes, if I'm creating a script/plugin, I'll have Claude take a run through it to verify things, then turn around and have ChatGPT check what Claude suggested, and then continue through the various AIs. It's not that I want them to DO the work; I have to understand what they're doing and why they're suggesting it.
For times when I want them to do the work, Claude Cowork has been solid, as has GitHub Copilot, and I don't know where I would be without VS Code these days!
VS Code is probably the most helpful as it can tie into so many different extensions and coding languages. It can also integrate with chat systems. Having the code "think" about changes and suggest changes I may have missed in functions, etc.- that is gold!
And my most used AI Tool? Grammarly 🙂
I usually leave it in Business mode, with a few minor tweaks, but it catches everything I write wrong. From bad grammar to bad spelling, missing spaces, writing "shoudl" rather than "should," and removing the apostrophe from "you're" to "you are." When it's a casual message, "your" is fine, but when I'm writing audits, reports, or even here, I generally try to use "you are".Why Grammarly? I have that too, but I hate it.
