100 sign up per week

Yipes! I wish I had $7K for advertising. Our real focus is colocation, followed by dedicated servers and then shared hosting, so our sign ups don't fit into this model. Even so, we don't spend nearly this amount.

The way you market and sell a customer is how you gain traffic which eventually turns into paying clients, I can't tell you the strategies we have over here at Eleven2 but anyone can do it. :P

Be like GoDaddy and hire Danica Patrick or another celebrity like figure to pose with large chest on SuperBowl commercials and then maybe you'll get hundred sign ups haha? Pretty hard to do - if you find out please fill me in.

I love your all of your answer guys.

-If you think you can, or you think you can't you are right.

I would like to invite you to think that we can... let see what happen.

Further more, I would like to know what you think about it now.

Of course, there are natural ways to go about this such as getting your site in directories, but if you're pulling 100/week, im assuming there's some type of heavy funding in advertising on popular sites/networks.

For forums - 100 signups quickly is attained by offering a giveaway - this is proven time and time again.

Can you explain this in more detail please?

What is being given away, and how do you give it away on a forum without being instantly labeled a spammer?

I like giving stuff away. And pretty good stuff too.

But if I were to list all the free stuff I have to give away right now, right here, in today's semi-hysterical climate, it's going to read like spam to many.

Advice?

You mean aside from spending $1000's in advertising? Or, being in the top 100,000 in Alexa, receiving tons of daily traffic?

If I was getting 100 new clients per week without those methods I'm not even sure I would tell anyone how. ;)

Agreed.

You would have to do a hell of a lot of advertising or be popular to get that many signups per week.

I would doubt that being within the top 100,000 of Alexa would help achieve 100 sign ups per week. Perhaps if you were in the top 5,000 then it may be possible because that would be a lot of traffic you're receiving. Then again, if you are receiving that much traffic you must be spending a ton on advertising as well.

Haha, exactly. I mean, why would you share that? :-)
