Virtuozzo consolidates cloud stack into single platform to simplify IaaS, SaaS, AI deployments

Virtuozzo has consolidated its virtualization, storage, networking and application management technologies into a single integrated cloud platform, marking a structural shift in how the company positions its software for service providers and SaaS firms.

Instead of offering separate stand alone products, Virtuozzo now delivers one unified architecture built around a common core and interface. The move aims to reduce operational complexity for cloud providers that manage Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, Virtual Desktop as a Service, AI as a Service and Database as a Service environments.

In this strategy, Virtuozzo aims to integrate these elements into one system for ease of deployment and management. The system is intended to operate in multi-tenant and multi-cluster environments, which are common in hosting companies and SaaS businesses that need to scale their operations. According to the company, this integrated design allows providers to launch and monetize new cloud offerings faster while maintaining consistent operational processes.

Chief Executive Officer Kurt Daniel said cloud infrastructure should enable innovation rather than slow it down. He noted that service providers increasingly demand predictable economics and tighter control over their environments, particularly as infrastructure costs rise across global markets.

According to industry statistics, the spending on cloud solutions is steadily increasing across the global market. In this regard, the integrated strategy adopted by Virtuozzo is part of the cloud community’s efforts to simplify technology infrastructure and minimize fragmentation among vendors.

From a technical perspective, the company aims to adopt a single kernel and a common interface for the Infrastructure and Server modules. Operating system containers will integrate directly into the Infrastructure layer, while additional business and operations support capabilities will expand over time. Pricing has also shifted to one simplified model that replaces multiple licenses and separate pricing structures.

According to Virtuozzo, existing customers can easily migrate to the new architecture without going through a migration process that could be disruptive. The cloud solution also enables organizations to control their own cloud infrastructure, a factor that has gained prominence as the debate on data sovereignty continues to gain momentum.

As cloud service providers continue to grow while cutting costs, the integration of core technologies into a single cloud platform could be an indication of a trend in the industry.
