TechEx 2026 puts cloud security under microscope

TechEx Events has released new details for its upcoming Cyber Security and Cloud Expo Global 2026, set for early February at Olympia London. While the conference often casts a wide net across emerging technologies, this edition appears more grounded, with a noticeable push toward practical security engineering and the day-to-day realities faced by large organisations.

The expo sits within the broader TechEx Global program, which brings together cloud, AI, automation, and data management tracks. Instead of treating these domains as isolated streams, event planners say the goal this year is to help attendees understand how these technologies collide inside real enterprise environments. It reflects a wider shift in the industry, where many teams are now wrestling with the consequences of rapid cloud expansion and steadily evolving threat patterns.

Speakers include senior voices from Barclays, Allianz, Deloitte, Santander, Standard Chartered, and NHS organisations. Most of them oversee complex systems that rarely stand still, and their sessions aim to draw attention to the decisions behind their architectures rather than only the outcomes. Several plan to walk through the tension between security expectations and operational constraints, an issue that continues to shape cloud adoption strategies across multiple sectors.

Just one topic rapidly moving up the list of discussion points is the evolution of artificial intelligence as an integral part of corporate risk ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌models. Many organisations lean more heavily on machine learning to triage threats, monitor third-party vendors, and flag abnormal activity. However, presenters are expected to spend equal time addressing the limits of these tools, especially as attackers begin to exploit the same technologies.

Cloud security remains another recurring thread. As hybrid and multi-cloud setups become the default for larger companies, maintaining consistent controls and visibility has turned into a central challenge. Attendees are likely to hear more candid discussions about misconfigurations, inherited technical debt, and the difficulty of applying Zero Trust principles without disrupting existing workflows.

‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌TechEx‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Global promises to be an information-packed event with 200 sessions scheduled. Next year the 2026 Expo will be a major step in giving a clearer understanding of the efforts enterprises are putting to both stabilise their infrastructures and getting ready for the future. For a great number of executives, the event is a valuable moment where they can exchange views with other leaders who are facing the same kind of challenges, be it resilience planning or cloud-driven redesigns.
