OnliveServer targets small businesses with fully managed USA VPS hosting starting at $4 monthly

OnliveServer has introduced a fully managed VPS hosting service based in the United States, directing it specifically at small and medium-sized businesses that have hit the ceiling of shared hosting but do not want to take on the technical overhead of running a server independently.

The distinction between managed and unmanaged VPS matters more than it might appear on the surface. Unmanaged plans hand customers full control but also full responsibility. Server maintenance, security patches, performance tuning, and troubleshooting all land on whoever is running the business. For a growing company without a dedicated IT team, that tradeoff quickly becomes a drag on the actual work. OnliveServer’s managed service handles those functions, leaving customers with the server resources they need without the operational weight attached to them.

The infrastructure runs on NVMe SSD storage across three plan tiers, starting at $4 per month for a single-core configuration with 1GB of RAM and 30GB of storage. The mid-tier option doubles those resources at $7 monthly, while the top configuration covers four CPU cores, 4GB of RAM, and 120GB of storage at $14 per month. All plans run from a Missouri data center and support both Linux and Windows environments, with unlimited traffic included across the board.

Security sits alongside server management as part of the included service. DDoS protection, firewall management, automated backups, and SSL support are all covered without requiring customers to configure them independently. The data centers carry ISO 27001 certification, which matters for businesses in sectors where security compliance affects which hosting providers they can work with.

The service also keeps full root access available, meaning customers who do want direct control over their environment retain it. Snapshots let users save the server state before making changes, which removes some of the risk that tends to make businesses hesitant about touching production configurations.

Naveen Rajput, CEO of OnliveServer, described the launch as an effort to remove the technical complexity that has historically made VPS hosting inaccessible to businesses without infrastructure experience. Payment options include credit cards, PayPal, and cryptocurrency, which broadens the accessibility somewhat for international customers and smaller operations that prefer flexibility in how they pay.

For businesses currently on shared hosting and watching performance suffer under growing traffic, the entry-level pricing makes the step up considerably easier to justify.
