One.com just gave small business owners a new reason to stop dreading their outdated website. The hosting company launched Aida, an AI website builder that works through conversation instead of drag-and-drop menus or code.
The pitch is simple. Users describe their business in a chat window, and Aida builds a complete site behind the scenes, no design skill or technical knowledge required. That puts it in the same category as tools from Wix, Squarespace, and GoDaddy, which have all rolled out similar AI builders recently. What sets Aida apart, though, is a feature aimed squarely at businesses stuck with sites that look untouched since 2015.
Instead of starting from scratch, users can paste in their existing URL, and Aida rebuilds it into a modern version almost instantly. For small businesses running on tight budgets, that’s a real shift. Hiring an agency for a redesign, then paying for ongoing maintenance, has always been an expense a lot of small operators skip entirely, and Aida cuts out a good chunk of that cost.
The tool also goes beyond just building pages. Once a site exists, users can manage online stores, booking systems, blogs, and custom domain email through the same interface, along with hosting itself. So instead of juggling separate platforms for each function, everything runs through one conversational tool.
Still, One.com hasn’t gone all-in on automation. The company says it’s keeping 24/7 human support available alongside Aida, which matters for anyone who hits a problem the AI can’t sort out on its own.
Aida’s arrival drops One.com into a race that keeps accelerating, as more hosting companies weave AI directly into their core products and the line between website builder and small business operations platform grows harder to draw.
