Oduul.cloud launches $3,000 semi-annual reward for dedicated server users

Most hosting companies mark a growth milestone with an announcement and move on. Oduul.cloud is doing something less expected: the moment it crosses 1,000 active dedicated server users, it starts giving money away. Specifically, $3,000 to one randomly selected client, twice a year, for as long as the program runs.

There are no referral hoops, no minimum spend requirements, and no separate signup process. Active clients during the drawing period automatically qualify, with their names already in the pool without any additional steps. One person wins the full amount, and six months later, the cycle starts over.

CEO Rachid P. Ibombo framed it plainly: clients built this milestone together, and the reward reflects that. It is a reasonable way to think about it. Hosting companies tend to funnel growth benefits back into infrastructure or margins. Routing some of it directly to the people paying the invoices is a different calculation, and a less common one.

The 1,000-user target also says something about where Oduul.cloud currently sits. It is not a company announcing a program from a position of scale. It is one approaching a threshold it has been working toward, and choosing to make the arrival meaningful for the people already there.

The environmental angle has been central to how the company positions itself since it started. A portion of profits goes toward environmental causes, and carbon footprint management sits inside the operational model rather than on a separate sustainability page that nobody reads. In a market where most hosting providers offer similar technical specs at similar prices, that kind of genuine commitment tends to stick with a specific type of customer, particularly developers and tech teams that think about where their infrastructure sits and what it costs the planet.

The reward program fits the same logic. Startups running dedicated server workloads operate on tight margins. An extra $3,000 landing randomly in one client’s account twice a year is not a massive financial event for a hosting company approaching four figures in dedicated users. For the person who receives it, though, it covers a month of runway, a freelancer’s project, or a software subscription they have been putting off.

Small, but real. That tends to be the kind of thing people actually talk about.
