GoDaddy grew its revenue 6% to $1.342 billion in the third quarter, and the Applications and Commerce segment outpaced Core Platform for another quarter. The headline figure hides a lopsided Core segment, though. Domains are doing the heavy lifting.
Domain revenue, aftermarket included, rose $40.6 million to $636.5 million. Everything else in Core fell $7.4 million to $181.0 million, a 3.9% drop. That category has now shrunk year over year in all three quarters of 2026, and this is the steepest fall. The first two quarters shaved off $3.5 million and $3.6 million.
Be careful about what that line holds. GoDaddy books hosting and website security in Core only when it sells them on their own. When it bundles them with GoDaddy software, they land in Applications and Commerce instead. So the shrinking line is not a clean read on hosting. It also holds other Core products, and the filing gives no finer split than domains and everything else.
Stretch the view to nine months and the gap widens. Non-domain Core revenue fell $14.5 million, or 2.6%, to $547.4 million, while domains added $98.0 million.
The aftermarket is where GoDaddy earns a cut when registered domains change hands. It brought in $151 million, up 10% from $136 million, and the average sale rose to $357 from $345. Domain Name Wire reports that GoDaddy warned on its second quarter call that a strong third quarter in 2025 would limit growth, then credited large transactions on the latest call. GoDaddy calls the business transactional and keeps it out of its annualized recurring revenue metric. One strong quarter proves little.
Applications and Commerce grew 9% to $524.3 million at a 46.9% segment EBITDA margin, against 32.9% for Core. Airo, GoDaddy’s AI product for small businesses, now has an annualized bookings run rate above $100 million, more than double the figure from a quarter earlier. Email is a soft spot, since customers renewed with fewer seats.
GoDaddy ended September with 20.5 million customers, up 40,000 from June. It expects full year revenue toward the high end of $5.215 billion to $5.255 billion, with Core growing about 4%, and it plans to refresh select financial targets at an investor night on December 1.
