Digital Realty expands Oracle connectivity in Singapore as AI infrastructure demand surges

In‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Singapore, Digital Realty extends its partnership with Oracle by introducing an additional OCI FastConnect point-of-presence that locates the regional companies a new way to connect to Oracle ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Cloud. The move arrives at a moment when demand for reliable routes into cloud platforms is rising sharply, especially among teams building hybrid and AI-focused systems that require consistency rather than guesswork.

The company is also opening an Oracle Solution Center inside its PlatformDIGITAL facility in Singapore. It will function as a hands-on environment where customers can test workloads, explore hybrid layouts, and validate AI-driven designs without risking production systems. For Singapore, it marks the first of its kind, and it reinforces the city-state’s growing reputation as a place where cloud providers and infrastructure specialists develop new frameworks for heavy data use.

The additional FastConnect access brings a second regional on-ramp, easing concerns around latency and giving customers a fallback path they can control. It is aimed at teams that need predictable performance as they expand cloud-adjacent or hybrid workloads across Southeast Asia. Oracle continues to pitch its cloud services around stability and the type of security posture that large enterprises often expect when moving sensitive operations off-site.

Serene Nah, who leads Digital Realty’s Asia Pacific business, called this expansion a meaningful marker in what the two companies have been working toward. She said it reflects a shared push to help customers run cloud and AI workloads with more confidence and fewer architectural barriers.

Oracle’s Chris Chelliah noted that teams building modern applications no longer view private throughput as a luxury. He said the pairing of FastConnect and Digital Realty’s footprint gives customers more predictable ways to scale when their needs shift.

Oracle’s global ecosystem already includes more than one hundred FastConnect partners, giving customers multiple routes into its cloud services regardless of geography. Earlier this year, Digital Realty also joined the launch of the Oracle AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore, which focuses on skills development and secure experimentation for enterprise teams.

Together, the initiatives are setting the stage for a period of heavier regional investment in cloud, data, and AI infrastructure.
