Accenture, AWS expand partnership to reinvent public sector with AI-driven cloud solutions

Accenture‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ has declared a broadened union with Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is a major move to change the way public sector, defense, and national security bodies utilize AI and cloud-based solutions. The Accenture AWS Business Group manages the partnership to help agencies modernize their operations, cut costs, improve efficiency, and deliver better citizen-facing services while maintaining security and compliance.

While they are at it, both companies are merging their power: on the one hand, Accenture’s comprehensive know-how in digital transformation and industry strategy, and on the other hand, AWS’s flexible, secure cloud infrastructure. Hence, they are planning to create the instruments that will not only mechanize the routine operations but also make the decision process more solid and resource management more efficient for government and defense agencies.

The action is a statement to the firms’ history of collaborative projects. For example, Accenture and AWS jointly equipped the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services with AI-enabled systems to enhance case management and streamline the delivery of public assistance.

Jennifer Jackson, AWS Business Group lead at Accenture, said the collaboration reflects a major shift in how governments are rethinking digital services. “Public sector organizations are ready to reinvent how they operate. These solutions combine innovation with accountability, ensuring agencies can modernize securely while keeping citizens’ trust at the center,” she said.

Rishi Bhaskar, director of worldwide public sector partnerships at AWS, shared a similar sentiment, emphasizing the need for governments to deliver the same level of digital experience citizens already expect from private-sector services. He said the partnership provides a foundation for that change by uniting security, speed, and scalability.

In practice, the expanded effort will center on three key areas: workforce transformation through AI-driven automation, defense and national security modernization using zero-trust and edge computing frameworks, and social service improvement through predictive analytics and integrated data platforms.

As artificial intelligence continues to influence how institutions deliver services and manage data, the Accenture-AWS partnership underscores a growing trend: the use of trusted cloud ecosystems to enable innovation across mission-critical sectors.
