EU launches HPCTRAIN to prepare next generation of HPC talent

The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking has launched HPCTRAIN, a programme designed to place early-career professionals in industry-based HPC traineeships across Europe. The initiative connects universities, supercomputing centers, and technology companies to give participants hands-on experience with real-world computing projects. By linking academic learning with practical deployment, the programme aims to strengthen Europe’s workforce pipeline in high-performance computing and advanced digital infrastructure.
