How Valuable is DDoS Protection to You?

In your opinion, how much does DDoS protection matter when selecting a web hosting solution? Some say DDoS protection is the deciding factor.
Thoughts?

For gamers, DDoS protection actually is very often the deciding factor when selecting a hosting provider. Simple info websites don't generally care much about DDoS protection.

For shared hosting DDoS protection is very important because you never know who can be targeted on the same server as you.

DDoS protection is very important. It helps determine whos is the responsible party dragging the network down. Therefore isolating the subnet and restoring network to other affected customers.

DDOS protection is important if you have a high traffic volume website to avoid it going down due to ddos

DDoS protection help you to track and help you to avoid going down because of DDoS. Its not much important for low traffic websites.

If you are on a shared server and you have DDoS protection for your website and someone else on then same server has no DDoS protection and they get a DDoS attack then this can bring the server down regardless to what protection you have

This is not possible, a DDoS protection is for an entire server it's not per user on the server.

Its actually by IP, so yes 1 IP of the server could have protection and another could not, so your IP could be protected whiel another is not and everyone on the server will suffer.

Personally, I think it is important. Since it is SHARED by customers. If one customers get DDoSed, entire or probably most of websites hosted will go down.

So, is very important. The cons is, you never will know if you face a large DDoS Attack, is not easy to filter. It takes time, and is expensive.

All Hostings Providers should take a closer look in that, always have a DDoS Protection available.
I think no one likes to have their website down constantly. And sometimes we need understand, some attacks can't be filtered... It's a headache.

Better have, than don't have.

DDoS is extremely essential in this century as mentioned above. A single client getting DDoSed could potentially impact the entire web server.

We use CloudFlare for our main website for additional security and I'd always advise any client to register and use the free plan from CloudFlare for basic additional security, performance and caching features.

DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks are becoming more common, and the number of web hosts prepared to deal with them is slowly dwindling. DDoS protection is expensive to a web host's infrastructure, and many hosts do not include the resources to protect themselves from such a DDos attack. If you're looking for a web hosting solution, ensure that your chosen host has DDoS protection. Otherwise, you could be at threat of being attacked.

DDoS protection isn't the key factor, but it's really a very important thing because even a simple info website, or small companies website can meet such a type of attack. In the last ten year, I had dealt with DDoS a couple of times.

DDoS protection service is very important it helps you to maintain the availability of your website around-the-clock by keeping track of traffic and thwarting distributed denial-of-service assaults. you may better prepare for the looming threat of DDoS attacks with the aid of DDoS Protection.

The value of DDoS protection varies depending on the individual or organization and their specific needs. Some factors that can impact the value of DDoS protection include:
  1. The size and type of network - larger networks and critical infrastructure networks may require more robust DDoS protection.
  2. Dependence on the network - businesses that rely heavily on their network for revenue and operations may place a higher value on DDoS protection.
