Just had a nice call from a young lady from a company called Windows who told me my computer had a virus ( how nice of them to let me know). so i decided to play along and asked them if they know that then can they tell me what OS version i was using.

The reply was 'you are using windows 11 sir'

oh Microsoft has released and upgraded to win 11 in secret, how nice of them, its a pity my PC still says Win 10 Pro.

I told them to hold on while i get my boss, she asked who is my boss. i told her he was police chief williams. For some strange reason they hung up.

your passwords
your personal information
your credit card information

or that virus will take over your life

I am well aware of many of their tricks, sometimes its nice to play with these hackers

I get these calls weekly. I just ask if I can place them on hold for a second because I have a second line, then keep on going with my work day. Just trying to waste a little of their time. They are welcome to call me daily if they have the patience and the time.

As its a long going scam, then it must be profitable for them otherwise they would not continue

They must of these scammers would not continue, but they are now getting wise and change tack to using names of phone providers etc.

That's pretty good. I have unlimited minutes with my cellphone plan too. I can't lose with this strategy. Plus, you are tying them up so they can't mess with the next person.

If everyone adopted this practice they'd get so tired of holding they might stop. Or is that just wishful thinking?

I haven't gotten one of these in a long time ... but next time I do ... I know what I'm doing to them :devil:
