I was just curious to how many people here would like more forums to chat in. Maybe add a sports section? or gaming section? Not sure on what they should be, but just something. Also, this might be a good way to raise traffic and get more users posting.


I don't know, just a thought. Curious to see what you guys think of the idea.
 
I was thinking of going the opposite direction, simply because some forums have forumdisplay's with threads that go back many months.

Do you have anything hosting related in mind, though? Perhaps an area HD doesn't really address that you feel we need to?

You're free to post in General Discussion if something's not hosting related. If you have a better idea for what to call it, let us know.

I don't care for the idea because if the forum is based on site hosting, then it should be tightly based on that, and have as little off-topic discussion as possible.

I really don't know of too many forums out there anymore that don't have little or few off-topic forums and only stick to their main topic as much as this one really.
 
Well, the reason I am throwing it out there is there are a few site webmaster sites like this dedicated to the hosting industry and it becomes a little boring after a while (Not saying HD is getting boring) just saying it happens. Having a little area dedicated to off-topic stuff increases conversation, and posts..Not to mention traffic.

Anyways, as said before just throwing it out there.

Non-hosting related conversations would not add value to our community. I think that to retain the level of professionals around we need to focus on providing them with the tools and services that they can benefit from. One of those tools is a community with a strong knowledge of this industry.

Non-related conversation can be easily discussed in the General Discussions forum. Its open for all non-hosting talk. Be my guest - start any topic on politics, science, sports, entertainment, etc.

How about what he said? The nature of the offers closely correlate I think.
 
I give, we can leave the forum the way it is lol But, as steve said we should edit the link to include colo offers. I don't offer colo, but this would help someone else who does post their offers there.
