Google updates stance on logo background

Interesting. I mean I can see why they want this - it's hard to see a logo on a white page (knowledge panels etc), but you'd think most people would already have some form of outline around the white logo. Look at

Nike for example is a white logo, but they have a black outline. Our own BigRedSEO logo has a version with white SEO and one in black. Our official color is the black one, but in both versions, we had to put a white stroke outline just in case someone has a different background (or, in our case, shirt colors).

It's interesting that they've made this a recommended item though.
