A useless PING clock - but I kinda want one too!!

I saw this article earlier today and it grabbed my attention;

Basically, someone modified a clock to show the current latency and ping response time.

It's completely useless, and nobody really needs to know an up to the minute ping response time - and yet, I find myself wanting to build one myself
