Zidane plays with amateurs.

Wow, great control. It's like he is one with the ball, and can make it do pretty much anything.

Never heard of him ever in my life. Is he some pro soccer player?

I wonder, is Zidane well known in North America?
I guess not... :disagree:

dubs, from AskMen:

Zinedine Zidane is considered by many to be the best soccer players ever. Thanks to Real Madrid, he is one of the most expensive, having transferred from Italian giant Juventus for $66 million US -- a record that still holds. He led France to a memorable World Cup in 1998 by scoring two goals in the final.

It depends on who you talk to.
I know Zidane well. I don't agree with him being the best ever though.

IMHO Hendrick Larsen is better.

True! :) I was wondering more like in comparison to say Europe or maybe Latin America.

I don't think there can be a clear "best". There are so many very good soccer players and after a certain level the differences are not really noticeable.

Larsson was good. Unfortunately, playing for Celtic for a large part of his career prevented the world from seeing his true class.

Zidane is good. He is, however, far from the best. I have never seen anything that prompts me to think he's one of the best of this generation, let alone of all time. I can think of at least 10 active midfielders that I'd pick over him in a 'fantasy XI'. He's too much of a spotty player for my liking.
