At first its hard to get a saltwater tank setup because you have to cycle your water before adding fish. Usually people are in a hurry and put fish right in. Doing partial water changes every two weeks for the first 3 months is a must. But its worth it once you get it running smoothly. I havent did any water change in about a month and a half and will be doing one this week just to be safe. All my levels are good but I am a better safe then sorry type guy.Artashes said:The saltwater fish tank hobby intrigues me. Could you explain what it is and what you do exactly?
Blue said:I have had many aquariums over the years.
Currently I have 2 freshwater aquariums.
I love the tropical fish which is why I took up diving.
Salt water aquariums are more labour intensive. PH and salt content have to be monitored always.
As most of you know my passion is cooking though. That is why my site is, in conjunction with Vito, http://www.eskillet.com/forum

I have birds as well. & A pond out front with gold fish.country-tyme said:I have my aquarium and parrots in my office at home. Birds all over the house, including a bluejay that we rescued at about 3 days old and hand fed. He's a real treat, follows you around the house and sits on my desk, interfering with the keyboard. Then there's the dogs and ponds (if the ice ever melts) and lizards.
