Yahoo hosting (India) non existent services

I have had a very bad experience while trying to move my hosting to yahoo India

After updating the name servers at my domain registrar to reflect yahoo Name servers, yahoo did not update their database. This meant that our website remained inaccessible for 2 days, despite domain redelegation.

Repeated emails and online support requests remain unanswered even after 1 week.

When I located their support phone numbers in Mumbai, I was diverted to a taped playback, which asked me to file my request online.

So much for 24x7 support claimed on their website.

This is pathetic. Yahoo does not reply to email or online or phone support. Despite their rock bottom hosting rates, I had no alternative, but to move back to my previous provider. They are more expensive and have more restrictions on number of mail boxes, but has excellent phone and online support and they are more than enthusiastic to solve any problem.

yahoo is like any big hosting company; their cheap which gets a lot of attention but the support is crappy. Becuase their cheap, people do not like to switch and just deal with the problem.

But, sorry for the bad luck and bad experience.

Sorry to hear that, I think this is high time to shift to a reliable hosting company. You should prefer to go for free trial first.

That just proves these big companies are not always the best. Go look for a reliable hosting company, the size doesn't matter. Infact some smaller companies seem to offer more reliable support and more time to customers.

i hate Yahoo! their support is really poor , i tried them only 1month 3 ears ago and left them after 1month, Hate Yahoo webhosting
the only good thing on Yahoo is their Realy complete Domains control Panel which i didn't see anywhere else :crash:

Yahoo doesn't have the best reputation for hosting. Good luck.
