Yahoo adds open-source blogging to its hosting

Yahoo has added open-source blog publishing software to its Web hosting.

The Net giant has struck a deal with WordPress and will add its software alongside proprietary alternative Moveable Type, which whom Yahoo struck a deal last week. The deal is intended to broaden the blogging software options accessible to individuals and companies that use Yahoo to host their websites, the company said.

Installing and maintaining WordPress via the Yahoo service will require just a few clicks, and thus will be much simpler and quicker than if users do it manually..

now anything that entails a few clicks just right for anyone...definetly for me..
 
Wordpress is already available as one click install features in Fantastico of Cpanel and loads of hosts already provide it . but yahoo doing it is really great and will help WP gain more polularity
 
Great, I guess they have to try to keep up with Google's attemps to take over the world!
