Hi ... here I go again

Shortly after asking you all to express your suggestions on my website ... the program I was using (MS FrontPage) for the past 7 years to create, edit and maintain my site decided the site was now too big for it to handle. Perfect Joy!!

So ... after checking out a bunch of CMS free downloads I decided on XOOPS. This past week and a half I have been "porting" everything over into the database etc.

I am still fine tuning the site ... playing with some added features etc ... but I am wondering if the site is easy to understand and navigate.

Peter, I like the site. The layout is a bit busy and that ridiculous graphic and text that you use as your banner? Whats up with that???
Other than that little thing, I think it looks pretty good!

The graphic ... hahahaha .... actually my first attempt at an animated gif I don't usually do graphics ... I am not gifted in that field ... obviously

I've been thinking of maybe using some of my points here to see if I could get a better "something" made up for me.

As for the layout being "a bit busy" ... can you elaborate a bit?? You mean the "blocks on the sides" on the front page after you login? Or the menu in general? or ... the whole thing ... or ???

Major improvement over the last update. The news headlines at the bottom go to the next line and just look odd. I think it would look better for the left navigation to be moved into the site more.

I put the newsfeeds one on top of the other instead of side by side. It does look better.

Unfortunately, no matter what I've tried so far ... I cannot get the page from to come in from the edge a bit. I will have to play with the theme sets a bit more

Well ... I have gone LIVE with the new incarnation of my website.

There is still a lot of work I have to do on it ... like entering the 500+ links I had on the old version of the site ... the Humor & Inspirational sections ... and the Games of course. But the important stuff is there.
