Wowwwww.....its snowing!!!!

It hasnt snowed here in AGES this winter, its been around a month since it was snowing last!!!
There is sooooooo much outside right now, its really hard to see because its so thick.

The weather really is getting messed up...
Last week was like summer and this week there has been frost starting and today snow started this morning but now its really thick and heavy.

Is global warming effecting us already?
 
It is coming my way too. I live in NC and very rare to get snow but we had it 3 or 4 times already this year.
 
The snow has started to go away over here now. I was sledging yesterday with some friends. We were on a hill where it takes 20 minutes to get down at full speed. Lots of curves and bumps as well. We had a great time.

Isnt enough snow here to do that ;)
Its on the streets and roads today and the met office (They do weather reports) issued a hazard warning about snow today, even more today than yesterday but I like it :)
 
Snowing here again.. that makes a TON of snow days already.. there was 2 or 3 times school was cancelled 2 days in a row.. then I think 3 other days and one 1/2 day.. a ton of snow days this year :)
 
I heard Scotland and Wales had loads of roads closed because of snow today.
Cornwall was meant to have snow and a good few other places in England too.
 
Well, we are getting 2 - 4 inches, other parts of the state have already gotten about 7 - 8 inches. It just really started here a couple of hours ago. Work closed at 1:30 pm and probally will have tomorrow off :) Yaa, I might be able to finish up some of my small programming jobs then. It is coming down really hard now.
 
Hehe Robert you mean you will be spending all day at HR ;)
Seems a lot of people in the UK, england, scotland and wales have all had schools, uni, offices, roads etc. closed so a lot of people have been off there but no such luck in belfast!
 
Well, unfortunately that SouthEastern storm missed us for the most part. All we've gotten out of it so far is about 1" of sleet. However, there is another round on the way, so maybe we'll come up with some snow later tonight. Just about 15 miles up the road there is about a 3" coat on the ground, and about 60 miles away there is a coating of 9".
 
Only a little snow here today but further on, about 30miles the roads are all closed because theres so much snow and the roads are too dangerous.

Heard on the radio a lot of roads around the UK are being closed because of the snow.

Was talking to a friend in Reno Nevada and she said there was a snow storm there yesterday and there will probably be another today, seems like the snow is hitting a lot of places recently
 
Yeah we are in the same boat as the rest of Europe, extreme summer heat, then drought, then 1" snow in beginning of October then nothing until now and we have received about 8" in 2 days. I love the snow though so I am enjoying it and taking a lot of pictures. Freckled
 
Just heard it was -11 C in Wales last night, thats REALLY cold for around here!

The snow from yesterday is still here, think it might have been snowing last night too but the sun is starting to melt it all away.
Not too sure if theres more snow forecast anyway
 
We took on about 1/2" to 1" in my area last night, and I know other places got more. If you were to carry on a little further they were up to 18" in some places. I believe it also set some records for some areas to have that much snow. I must say that the flakes that fell last night were very large.
 
Freckled, could you post some pics of where you are now?
I would love to see what it looks like because I have never really saw it much before, even on TV
 
Yes I need to get them off of DH's computer, I don't have an A drive on mine and they haven't been transferred to disc yet. Hey John what are the rules about pics on the forums. Freckled

No problem about posting pics on the forum, I dont think they will be bigger than the limit for attachments but if they are just let me know and I will change it for you :)
