Hey, I just wanna host my own web page off of my own computer and just have people use my Ip to get to it...Heres my question is thier any Windows xp servers out thier that support Http,Php,Perl,Cgi,Mysql,FTP login, and have a web based control panel or a desktop control panel that can run in the task bar.

Thanx alot im a broke student trying to get his part time design firm off.

Well, I had set up a win box that ran all of that. I had to set it all up manually. The programs you will need to get are:
Apache
PHP
Perl
MySQL
and i liked using ServU for the FTP.

I would google Setting up apache with perl php. It is not easy to get it all working and know that you ISP may start blocking ports to your computer (they may already block ports).

These are all installation kits designed for Windows.
They will auto install the Apache server, MySql, PhP, and Perl on your computer.

If your ISP doesn't block port 80 you should have no problems. Many have a policy that prohibit home servers but they rarely pay any attention unless there is heavy traffic.

HTTP, SMTP, and FTP are intrinsically supported by XP. If you need Php/Perl functionality, you will need to install those language interpreters. Also MySQL has a version for Windows that you can download and install.

Make sure you have a good connection or your web viewers might get upset about the speed of the server and then just leave your site.
