Will transferring a domain name registrar take the domain down for any time?

I want to transfer 2 domains from one registrar to another.
Just want to know if the domains will be fully functional while they are going through the transfer?

Shouldn't affect anything - I transfered a dozen recently and not a glitch, good thing to check though is that the receiving registrar lets you set the nameservers 'as' you request the transfer not after.

Yeah I don't think it will affect anything, but I'm not 100% possitve

Your Name Servers (aka Hosting Account "Site" what eve) is going to stay up in the Transfer Process, you'll only have to wait 4-8 Days to Change from Registrars You'll be safe because your Domain has been Propigated and it dosen't need to lookup again in the while that's on the Transfer Process
