I started off in hosting by wanting to run my own Battlefield 1942 server. I got absolutely addicted to making it better and got into map modding, the server eventually became really popular and that's where I got the bug. After that I hosted a few Lineage 2 private servers and communities and started to really dive into Linux administration and security.
After 4 years of being a hired gun and setting up and or securing various hosting companies systems I decided to start my own but before I got to far I ran into my current partner who was also starting his own company and we decided to join forces. Thus GridVirt was born.
We both do it because we love all aspects of it (yep even "those" clients). The problem solving, the stress, the brainstorming, the smell of burnt SSD from torturing them...everything. So far it is going exactly as we pictured and more. It is going to be quite a ride!
