Thank you very much, we do believe that this is a great complimentary service for our members that values knowledge more than anything.

I will repeat this publicly till EVERY MEMBER UNDERSTANDS (or at least gets the hint) that HD will not tolerate putting the quality of this board in the middle because of some ten-dollar value domain name. We are a strong team financially, but that does not mean we will allow certain users abuse the forum by making brief responses just with one goal to get more points.

The system is here just to give members incentives to participate, it is a thank you for their being with us. Some users tend to think that the store is the core platform of this forum, thus they make insane number of posts.

These users are easily identified and they are closely monitored.

And to answer your last question, posts in General Discussion forums do not go towards member's point count anymore. You should thank those individuals that made us made the change.

General discussion forum is usually there mostly to build a community...people should post in it regardless of points, just as they should post when they have something to say in other areas of the forum...
