Who is ready for St Patricks Day?

I'm half Irish, so tomorrow is a day to celebrate. Anyone doing anything special, other than drinking green beer? :)

I'm sure most people would agree, it would be better if it was on a Friday. Can't enjoy it too much when you need to work the following day. :D

Not much going on here. I am wearing green, though. The wifey made the kids green eggs and ham this morning, also. :P

Hey, that's an idea - green eggs and ham. Sounds yummy! Big parade downtown today. :D

Yea, it's pretty easy to make too. :) You have to make scrambled eggs, and just add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture before cooking. Tastes the same and kids love it!

When you say "let's celebrate" be sure I am in. Unfortunately I have worked all day and I still doing it.

We don't have that day in Estonia so it's just another day for me.

We don't have it here in Romania either. Seems to be a feast day with Catholic roots, so in a country with close to 90% of the population being Orthodox, it doesn't get much attention.

Here's myself and the Girlfriend headed out for Saint Patricks 2010 ;)

Yes, that's a Zoot Suit. And yes, it costs a lot of money ;)

Wow, Conor! Can't possibly beat that! I basically just drank some guiness, got sleepy, watched Battlestar Galactica and went to bed. Thrilling, I know.

I've had the same outfit for the past 3 or 4 years now and it always gets peoples attention. Vegas Magazine did up a spread a few years ago too as not only do you get this Irish guy in a suit, but you also get an Irish Dancer in the mix (13 years dancing in competitions etc). So there's some years when I'm just all over the place showing up to gigs etc.

This year was quite mellow with only a few places to hit up, but with the outfit, it's very common to hear "we took pictures with you last year!" :)

For the posting from Artashes regarding that kid on the trailer - hopefully they don't find it a fault of the parade and cancel things next year. It's a tragic event to be sure, but hopefully the right parties are held responsible and they don't punish the entire event.

For dance, I competed professionaly in Traditional Irish Dancing. It's not quite Lord of the Dance or Riverdance as they used their hands a lot, but when you see the lineup of dancers and they're stiff as a board from the hips UP, that's traditional dance.

Many of my friends were in the original cast of Riverdance. I had already moved to America or I'm sure I would have joined up with the troupe too for the experience.
