Whmcs 5.2

From WHMCS twitter profile:

Most likely 5.2 stable release which went beta in February :).

The 5.2 changelog can be found:

they have not confirmed anything, we dont want a rush like 5.1.2 and the issues that caused. Although i have been beta testing and have yet to come across any issues, but once it goes into release then issues will most likely appear as beta cant be used in production. more info can be found here

I've had a lot of trouble with whmcs support answering questions. Also in the account on their site you can't even change your email address. Lot of strange stuff going on there and I am looking now for other software that will do the job.

I am excited for the changes that are coming. I would like to participate in the beta but just don't have the time!

Given the past history of breaking stuff with new releases, i would wait some months before upgrading to "the latest and greatest".

By the way patches for the patches have been released already - http://blog.whmcs.com/?t=69478

I am aware of that as i never upgrade any release until at least 2 months after release, I have a dev licence which i always test new versions on this first, but your comment was telling people to forget 5.2 as their is 5.1.4, some people will upgrade straight away to 5.2 even after all the previous issues. and warnings. Then they will complain that WHMCS support does not reply to them within seconds of them opening multiple tickets.

5.2.2 should fix most of the many problems reported in the 5.2 series so hopefully its smooth sailing from here!

Upgrading my test install to 5.2.2 now and will play around with some of the reported issues, see if I can replicate any (or find new ones).

+1 to waiting a while before upgrading in a production website :).
