Which of these 2 sites are better

Your second link is incomplete.

As for Knownhost, I have been dealing with them for about 2 years and their service is flawless. In the time I have used their servers I can only remember one glitch which was many months ago. I would give them a 96/100 rating.

Webhostingpad is a new hosting brand, that's fast gaining "press" due to the high paying affiliate program they run. That's basically it, and there would be little actual feedback on them.

You might be able to find feedback on their mother company, Omnis.

Thank you for the feedback on webhosting

I did look at Omnis - thank you for that tip. Their reviews were terrible. It looks like Knownhost will have to be my choice. I spent hours reviewing every site I could find - there are millions of them, and Knownhost seems to always come up clean.

Now just have to decide if I should go with the shared hosting or their VPS package. The VPS package seems to be the best.

BLUE - thank you.

Thank you for the tip. I will check the site you mentioned, and compare it to Knownhost. I looked at it quickly, and it appeared to be very good.

Hey - do you offer any consulting. You seem to know your stuff well. Maybe I could use your expertise when I get ready to move my domain name later this week.

Havent used both, even though hear a lot(both good and bad) about webhostingpad recently. I would recommend hostgator or bluehost(if you are open to looking outside the two)

My experience with Knownhost has been almost entirely positive, and I have not so much as even heard much about Web Hosting Pad before.

If their parent company can not even get positive ratings though, that sure does not make Web Hosting Pad look too appetizing.

As if it needed to be said, I would highly suggest Knownhost over this other place.

For as many you find that are bad, there are always a number of good reveiws out there too. It is a little sad the parent company has bad ratings, but try to find out the reason for it. Is it just one issue over and over again they may have fixed or no?

I haven't heard of either of the two. I actually use Host Gator and IX Web hosting. I have been hosting my clients' websites here for over a year and they are reliable, have very good uptime and excellent customer service especially Host Gator.

I've been running a handful of personal sites hosted with Site5.com and have found them to be both cheap and flawless.

Anyone else have experience with them?

(Neither I nor XZBackup are in any way affiliated with them.)
