I wonder which dedicated server the members of this community prefer to use. Many companies provide diffrent kinds of dedis, for instance ***********.com provides both Zeus and Apach. But which one is better to choose I don't know. I have heard Zeus has more advantages than Apache but I'd like to hear the opinion of the users of tis forum.

Thanks in advance.

When I started running web site, I didn't have much money and I used Apache. But recently I have heard many positive feedbacks about Zeus server and plan to use it. ***********.com seems good for it.

I used Windows server originally as I have done for several years. However, I switched to an apache server a few months back to learn something new and also to help with some URL rewriting as IIS doesnt do a good job of that.

Alot of program/scripts are specifically written for Apache, so be careful selecting otherwise if you have a requirement to runs those...

Apache is by far the best.

I've been testing lighttpd on Debian and it seems to be efficiently quick, I chose to install minimal modules which seem to have a better performance than Apache's default.

My personal choice goes for Debian.
Do you mean ***********.com clients can choose between Zeus and Apache on shared or dedicated plans? Then what do they base their choice on?

We are currently running apache but i think were going to switch to Lighthttpd in the next few days. Cpanel Update :D

As far as I know Zeus is paid one. I wonder how rich ***********.com is :)
Seriously:
Have found some info about Zeus

If the web server is significantly more efficient than the free software around, it may very well be a money saver (when it comes to shared hosting). :)
