which company you think is the best out there?

everyone has different opinions! i use norton antivirus 2004 but nowdays you can get free virus scanner with microsoft SP2 so all these companies will go bust in 3 years time ;)
 
I don't know about "go bust", but they will lose a serious number of customers, that I'm quite sure of.
 
heh??? I have SP2 and I don't have an virus scanner. I think you're referring to the thing that interfaces with your virus protection software. All it does is just tell you the status.
 
i dont know if it actually scans your computer, I have norton antivirus so SP2 does not give its own version but thats what I thought it did!
 
Dont Forget The Leading and More Reliable, McAfee. The one and only.

Was the one of the 1st to apear and is very good.

For windows boxes, I've heard of a company which installed mcafee antivirus enterprise edition which is very light compared to the other editions and also compared to any other solution available.
 
AVG is good & free for your home computer, Clam if you are talking about a server.
Myself I'm a Norton AV fan, haven't used anything else for 10 years and never had it miss anything, but you do need to install a little "update" so SP2 will recognize it's update status and not give you false "you need to update" warnings. (I will note I update daily, not weekly)
 
Norton Internet Security (Contains antivirus and firewall), seems to get the job done for me. I've had many close calls with viruses, and Norton has contained the viruses and removed them in a timely manner. Don't want to 'jinx' that though and will therefore stop talking :D
 
I recommend Symantec's Antivirus Corporate Edition, it's great and saves alot of resource with unlimited antivirus definition update, the regular version isn't that good with only 1 year definition update.
 
Well im glad im not the only one out there using it. You wait and see... PC-Chillin will be preferred over Norton... its just a matter of time!

It scans emails
Has a software firewall (not to crazy aobut them... but some people like it)
You can customize the 'firewall' to your liking
Live system scan doesent bog down system (like norton does)
And its really easy on the wallet!
 
norton is real bad firsly slows down your start up time by minutes, I personally dont like any of them wats the point of installing an av soft when u can get online scanners which r better in some ways as viruses cant disable them. Also if you have a powerful firewall and keep a close eye to what you do on the internet then i dont see the need for an av prog. Also all popular av softs are targeted by viruses, trojans etc.
