Where to learn the Internet marketing basics from?

I really want to make some extra money working from home and am interested in learning Internet marketing. I currently stay at home with my two little kids but would be able to devote about 25 hours a week to Internet marketing. It's just that I don't know where to start. Where do I find some great resources that help me with the Internet marketing basics as all the websites I have come across are not for absolute beginners like me?

If you want to get in on the ground floor with zero knowledge and have room to grow, check out www.stopmer999.com. I've worked with these guys for a while and there is a lot of knowledge available. Everything from general SEO up to and including affiliate marketing and article marketing (which is what it sounds like you want to do).

Last month they reduced their membership rates dramatically (from 800/month down to 200/month) - but space is somewhat limited.

As Conor told, try to search for learning courses about it and when you found check for revies about it. And the you can share that info with us :)

I'd also recommend taking a look at SiteSell. Their program and tools are quite comprehensive. Their focus isn't about building a site, rather about building a business.

SEO skills seem to be where a good bit of it is at right now. Some places will falsely market what they do and what you can do for them (along with what they will pay you).

Of course I trust Connor's links, but research for others and be careful just in case.

Absolutely be careful. I recommended SiteSell because I've used them myself, and they're $299/year versus $197/month. This can be a lot of money for entrepreneurs wanting to build a side business from their homes.
