Hey,
I have never paid any attention to the google PR for any sites but I would like to know where I can find it out?

I think I can find it out by downloading a toolbar for IE but is there any other way?

I thought there was some way to do it through alexa but I cant see it anywhere on the site, maybe Im wrong or maybe im just missing it
Thanks

the google PR works on how many quality sites link to you ! sites that has a good PR that links to you will give you good PR rating

That's only one factor. There's a lot of other things that go into it as well, people believe that is the main thing that counts, but I can tell you from experience, study and from other peoples experiences that there are a lot of other important things you need to do as well

ok thanks GC :)
I will just have to isntall the toolbar in IE I guess!
Normally use mozilla so it wont make much difference

Yes, unfortunately the mozilla/firebird version of the toolbar doesnt have the advanced features (IE page rank)

although the google toolbar has to be one of the best ones I have ever seen. No ads/spyware, useful and helpful. Couldnt be without it :)

I know one way is by having links from other sites which have a higher PR that yours.
If you have links on sites with a high PR then it will also increase yours.
Also, I think using the alt tag for images helps with the PR as well as search ranking, text with keywords etc. but to be hoenst Im sure others know a lot more than me about this

dont know but i think the link thing from high PR site must be the thing that count the most ! becouse people are going crazy with selling link ads on their sites for high prices to peple with low PR.

But the site has to be relevant, otherwise it wont help your PR. And the content you have on your site has to be good and not the same as on the site that linked you but does need to be similar.

I remember reading a document on Google pagerank, it was 207 pages long!
