Whatsapp,Viber

used viper on my Blackberry and it is good, just a pity it is not available for the BBOS10.

whatsapp recently purchased by Facebook, so we will see how this pans out
 
Whatsapp is more popular than viber. The number of users clearly shows the difference. Whatsapp has been purchased by facebook which is a interesting. However, if facebook does not change the basics of whatsapp, I think it going to stay as a popular app for a while.
 
Whatsapp is being used widely and it works without any issue. After Facebook acquired it, there isn't any change in Whatsapp services.
 
as per my experience whatsapp could be better than viber, but if you want to have video chat providing best speed you need to go with viber...
 
But doesn't Viper work on your desktop too...? Whereas Whatsapp only works on mobile devices.

Is Trillian not popular any more...? LOL
 
I would recommend Whatsapp, I have been using it for a long time and is stable and works well on all platforms.

I find whatsapp a lot more user friendly than Viber although Viber gives you the extra functionality of calls.
 
According to me whats app is best, it is very user friendly as compare to viber or any other messaging platform.
 
It is difficult to compare them.

While WhatsApp is what commonly used for messaging, Viber is almost like an alternative to Skype. I use both, but I also find Viber draining the battery much quicker.
