Whats wrong with asking a woman her age?

Anyone know why women dont like being asked what age they are?
I dont see the big deal with it really...but a lot of women seem to think otherwise.

I dont ask women their age simply because I know its impolite....but I dont know why.

Can anyone enlighten me

I've wondered this too. Seems different with men though, they're always happy to give their age. But women always give diffiulct answers

Just like the saying: If a man was a traffic warden, he'd have a sign that said 'STOP' making it ewasy for anyone to see that they needed to stop. If a woman did it, her sign would say: 'If you really knew me, you'd know what to do right now'.

Basically, it's never simple with women

It's all about women not liking looking old. Most would prefer to look younger than they really are; hence the myriad of anti-wrinkle creams etc available these days.

Because of that, they appear to think that if you are asking their age then they've got to lie to you (and say they are younger than they really are) so they'd rather not be asked.
